Deputies Issue Urgent Request for Information Regarding Missing Westminster Man

(UPDATE: The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is happy to report that 23 year old William Tanner Phalen, Jr. has been located and he is safe).

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------Investigators from the Missing Person’s Unit of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office are issuing an urgent request today for information regarding a missing Westminster man.

A family member of 23 year old William Tanner Phalen, Jr. filed a Missing Person’s report at the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office today.  The family last reported seeing William at his residence on Meadow Lark Drive back on February 21st.  Further information obtained by Deputies indicates that William was last seen on February 23rd in the area of Oconee Memorial Hospital.

William does have a diagnosed medical condition which requires medication.  However, Deputies have been told that by a family member that William reportedly has not taken his medication in approximately four months. 

William is 5’10” tall and weighs 167 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue sweat pants and white Nike shoes.  William does have a hashtag tattoo on his hand and a cross tattoo on his chest. 

Information on William has been entered into the National Crimes Information Center database.
