(Walhalla, SC)---------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today additional arrests in the second drug round-up of 2022.
The Sheriff’s Office began the operation on Thursday, September 1st with a meeting and briefing at 9:00am at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.
The Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants on 20 subjects. The arrest warrants were obtained based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys by undercover operatives were Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Heroin, LSD, and Ecstasy.
As of 2pm today, fifteen individuals had been arrested so far and/or were already in jail and will or have been served their warrants. Here are the names of additional suspects arrested and their charges according to warrants:
· Justin Marshall Gunn
36 years old
Walhalla, SC
Gunn was arrested on October 6th, 2022 by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine and one count of Distribution of Heroin. Gunn was also served a General Sessions Bench Warrant. At this time, Gunn remains in jail. His total combined surety bond amount is $40,000.
· Teresa Lynn Worley
54 years old
Walhalla, SC
Worley was arrested on the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 1:12am on Saturday, November 12th. Worley was also served a West Union Municipal Bench Warrant. At this time, Worley remains in jail. Worley received a $10,000 personal recognizance bond on the drug charge from the Sheriff’s Office. A hold has also been placed on Worley by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services.
· William David Gunn
37 years old
Walhalla, SC
According to Narcotics agents, Gunn is currently in custody at the Anderson County Detention Center. A hold has been placed on Gunn, by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, for the one count of Distribution of Heroin charge against him.
