Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Belton Man on Charges in Criminal Sexual Conduct Investigation

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Belton man remains in jail today, pending a bond hearing, after his arrest yesterday on charges in relation to a criminal sexual conduct with a minor investigation.
20 year old Michael Don Ray Brammer, of Sherwood Drive, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 11:38am Thursday on five counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – 2nd Degree.
A School Resource Officer assigned to a school in the School District of Oconee County met with a School District Employee and the victim, who is a teenager, in reference to a report of a sexual assault made by the victim to the School District employee.
The Investigation was turned over to a Violent Crimes Investigator with the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Sheriff’s Office.
Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, the Investigator filed charges against Brammer for sexually assaulting the victim on multiple occasions in 2025.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation. In order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, and that of the victim who is a minor, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that could, either directly or indirectly, identify the victim in this investigation.
