Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Seneca Man on Domestic Violence and Kidnapping Charges

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest Wednesday of a man with listed addresses in Griffin, GA and Seneca on charges of Domestic Violence and Kidnapping.
32 year old Nathan Walter Rogers, of Sandifer Boulevard, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 2:30pm yesterday and charged with one count each of Kidnapping and Domestic Violence – 2nd Degree.
At this time, Rogers remains in jail on a $50,000 surety bond. Rogers will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should he be released from jail.
A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to the Westminster Police Department yesterday morning and met with the victim, an adult female, in reference to a domestic disturbance that occurred at the residence on Sandifer Boulevard.
The victim told the Deputy that Rogers had sexually assaulted her at the residence. According to information obtained during the investigation, Rogers physically grabbed the victim and held the victim inside of the home.
Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, arrest warrants against Rogers were signed by a Judge. According to the arrest warrants, the victim bit Rogers on the arm in order to escape his hold. An arrest warrant also states that Rogers sexually assaulted the victim while knowing that she was pregnant.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
