Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Seneca Man on Trafficking in Methamphetamine Charge

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Seneca man remains in jail today, pending a bond hearing, after his arrest Monday evening on a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
47 year old James Earl Robey, of Mema Lane, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 11:05 yesterday.
A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division, on routine patrol on Highway 59 at E. Reedy Fork Road near Seneca, initiated a traffic stop on a white GMC Savana that displayed a Mississippi license plate that was registered to another vehicle. During the traffic stop, the Deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Robey.
Robey was unable to provide his driver’s license to the Deputy. Robey was also unable to provide the registration and proof of insurance on the vehicle.
Robey informed the Deputies on scene that there was quantity of Methamphetamine inside of the vehicle, which was located by the Deputy.
According to information obtained during the investigation, approximately 13.47 grams of Methamphetamine was seized by the Deputy.
Robey was also issued a ticket on a charge of Operating an Unregistered Vehicle.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
