Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Charges Westminster Woman with Trafficking in Methamphetamine

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Westminster woman, booked into the Oconee County Detention Center yesterday on outstanding arrest warrants from the Seneca Police Department, has been charged by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Furnishing Contraband into a Detention Facility.


40 year old Anna Larah Stinnett, of Highway 59, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:31pm Sunday. Stinnett was also charged, by the Sheriff’s Office, with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.


Stinnett has been given a combined $35,000 surety bond on the three Sheriff’s Office charges.


Deputy’s from the Uniform Patrol Bureau, while conducting a traffic stop during a separate investigation involving a separate person at Applewood Shopping Center Sunday, made contact with Stinnett after she drove up to the scene of the traffic stop in a Chevrolet pickup. After checking Stinnett’s name with dispatch, a Deputy was told that Stinnett had outstanding arrest warrants with the Seneca Police Department.


After being taken into custody by a Seneca Police Officer, Stinnett was transported to jail. During the intake and booking process at the jail, Detention Deputies found a quantity of Methamphetamine and a quantity of Alprazolam on Stinnett’s person inside of the jail.


Based upon evidence gathered during the investigation, a Deputy obtained arrest warrants against Stinnett based upon the narcotics discovered on her person inside of the Detention Center.


The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
