Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Stolen Gun Investigation




(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in an ongoing investigation involving a stolen firearm taken from a vehicle at an address in Fair Play on Thanksgiving Day.

 

A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded during the evening hours of Thursday, November 28th to an address on Inlet Point Road, near Lake Hartwell, in regards to reports of a prowler on the property holding a firearm.  When the Deputy arrived to begin an investigation, he was told that a firearm was stolen out of a GMC Sierra pickup truck.

 

The firearm is black .40 caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol.  Further investigation revealed a person of interest in the investigation.  The person of interest is seen on camera wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie and a tan vest.  The person of interest is seen carrying a black pistol that matches the description of the one reported stolen.

 

If you have any information on the theft a black .40 caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol taken from a pickup that was located on Inlet Point Road in Fair Play on Thanksgiving evening, or the identity of the person of interest in this investigation, or if you were in the Inlet Point Road area on Thanksgiving evening, and observed suspicious activity between 8pm and 8:30pm that day, contact Crimestoppers to leave an anonymous tip.  You can leave a tip with Crimestoppers at 1-844-71-CRIME, online at www.71crime.com or by downloading the free P3 app on your mobile device.
