Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Stolen Limo Style Golf Cart Investigation

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------Investigators from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of a limo style golf cart that was stolen from an Oconee County church.  The golf cart has since been recovered and returned to the church.

 

Investigators are also seeking the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in relation to the theft.

 

A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau was notified on Sunday morning, October 6th of a red 2020 Club Car Tempo golf cart that was stolen from Calvary Church, which is located on Maxim Drive, off of Highway 123, near Westminster.

 

According to information obtained during the investigation, the golf cart was stolen early Saturday evening, October 5th.  Evidence obtained by Deputies shows a female and a male attempted to enter the church via the front entrance.  Further evidence shows the persons of interest driving the golf cart off the property and onto Highway 123. 

 

The investigation was turned over to a Property Crimes Investigator from the Criminal Investigations Bureau. 

 

The female is wearing a gray tank top and black pants while the male is wearing a blue t-shirt and black athletic pants with a white stripe. 

 

During the continuing investigation, the golf cart was recovered abandoned in a field on E Street near E. Lonsdale Street, on the Utica Mill Hill near Seneca, on Monday, October 7th.  After proper verification, the golf cart was turned over to the Pastor of Calvary Church.
