(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating reports of a student who was possibly in possession of a firearm on a school bus.
A School Resource Officer, who is assigned to a school in the School District of Oconee County, was notified Monday afternoon and began an investigation. The School Resource Officer, as part of the investigation, spoke to the student in question and notified the student, who is a teenager, that he was not allowed to come to school until the investigation was concluded.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation and no further information is being released at this time, including any and all information that could, directly or indirectly, identify the minor in this case.
